Intro

I take pride in turning lorem ipsum into captivating copy. Copywriting and digital marketing work in tandem to create compelling narratives that drive audience engagement and conversions. By blending creative writing with analytical insights, I foster meaningful connections between customers and clients, ultimately leading to increased brand loyalty and sales.

I have a passion for writing and crafting a compelling narrative. Every brand has a story, and developing that story is only half the work. The other half is how that story is told through various channels and mediums.

The Experience Roseburg Visitor Guide serves as a comprehensive resource for exploring the diverse attractions and activities in Roseburg, Oregon. It highlights the natural beauty of the region, showcasing outdoor adventures such as hiking in the Umpqua National Forest and visiting local vineyards. The guide also features cultural landmarks, dining options, and events that reflect the unique character of the community.

I wrote the bulk of the 64 pages and helped craft its visual look. This visitor guide is meant to be more of magazine style coffee table book to inspire trips to Roseburg, Oregon.

The Experience Roseburg Podcast explores everything outdoors around the Roseburg area. Each episode features a different outdoors activity. The podcast is meant to be an escape for those who want to be outside, but can’t be while listening.

This podcast was my brainchild. I write, produce, record, host and engineer every episode of this podcast.

The Experience Roseburg YouTube channel serves as a vibrant platform showcasing the natural beauty and community spirit of Roseburg, Oregon. Through a variety of engaging videos, it highlights local attractions, outdoor activities, and cultural events that make the area unique. With a focus on both the serene environment and the dynamic community, the channel invites audiences to appreciate and connect with the charm of Roseburg, fostering a sense of pride and belonging among local residents and potential visitors alike.

Every month for Experience Roseburg a team of three, including me, produces a short video. I typically come up with the video concept or story (if there is one), produce it, and help shoot each video. The series started out as “Between Two Rivers” a name I coined and recently pivoted to more of a “Choose Your Own Adventure” style concept.

In addition to the other Experience Roseburg content projects I manage I also compose and send out a monthly newsletter. The newsletter is sent out using Mailchimp.

Takelma Roasting Co. focuses on making high-quality coffee with a commitment to sustainability and taste. Located in the Pacific Northwest, the company sources its beans from eco-friendly farms and works with local growers for fair trade and quality. The roasting process highlights each bean’s natural qualities, offering a variety of blends and single-origin coffees. Takelma Roasting Co. aims to build community connections through its love for coffee, giving customers a rich experience beyond just drinking it.

I manage all digital marketing outlets for Takelma Roasting Co. Everything from social media, email marketing, and eCommerce. I also take all the photos for their social media.

University of Portland

The University of Portland's alumni association connects over 40,000 graduates around the world, building community and engagement. It offers events, networking, and resources to help alumni stay connected and grow professionally. The association also helps preserve the university's traditions, supports mentorship programs, and shares updates on university news. This involvement enhances alumni experiences and supports the university's growth and success.

I worked with University of Portland’s alumni association for a short moment as a temp copywriter. I assisted in newsletter copy as well as the occasional mailer. I came up with the taglines for the mailer to the left.

Les Schwab Tires, founded in 1952 in the scenic town of Bend, Oregon, has grown into a prominent and highly regarded tire retailer with a strong emphasis on customer-centric service. The company offers an extensive selection of tires designed for various types of vehicles, along with essential services such as wheel alignment, brake repair, and more. The brand is well-known for its unwavering commitment to quality products and hassle-free customer experiences, which has helped it maintain a robust reputation within the automotive industry.

While working at Les Schwab I managed their marketing automation program (Salesforce Marketing Cloud). I sent emails to millions of customers and helped develop several new email marketing automations.

I wrote several recipes for Oregon Home Magazine. I also took the photos for each recipe.

I wrote a handful of food-related blurbs for The Oregonian.

Garrison Hullinger Interior Design is a small design space that primarily designs residential, commercial and multi-family spaces. I breifly worked as their marketing manager. I came up with their tagline “Designs with Purpose”.

SOLE Financial was a pay card company that allowed unbanked employees of company get paid with direct deposit. I worked as their in-house copywriter. SOLE had three different audiences they were marketing to. Business Owners, HR Reps, and cardholders.

The video concepts I came up with helped encourage cardholders to use their cards more. Used on the company’s social media channels.


About me

I’ve held a variety of professional writing positions in advertising, marketing, journalism and the food & beverage industry. I’ve been responsible for delivering everything from social copy to entire publications.

In addition, I used to run a cooking blog, have been featured in the LA Times, and The Oregonian.

I’m based in Oregon, but available to travel for longer projects.
